The flowers are blooming and the pollen is flowing in Atlanta. I was told everyone gets allergies after a few years of living here. It’s true! I have allergies to pollen now. Thankfully, it is not so bad that it stops me from outdoor activities with Teddy.
Here are some pet friendly adventures to try this spring!
Glamping with Georgia Glamping Company.
Even if you are not an outdoorsy person you should give glamping a chance! Georgia Glamping Company does a great job combining the great outdoors with comfort. You will have access to a comfortable bed, air conditioning, fridge and coffee maker (because that’s a must!) all under a beautiful bell tent. We stayed at the Shady Grove Campground with Lake Lanier as our view. You can make s’mores in the campfire, take a hike at the Vogel State campsite or go kayaking at the Lake Lanier campsite. Find more Information here or follow their Instagram here.
Japanese Zen Garden at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead.
Take a stroll through this peaceful garden found right in the middle of the city. The garden has a traditional Japanese style including an arrangement of rocks, pond, cherry blossom tree, bamboo fence, and a large cascading waterfall. If meditating isn't your thing, you can sip a cocktail from their Onyx bar.
Prospect Farm
Looking for a place to use as a backdrop for your photographs? Prospect Farm is photography wonderland with flower fields, vintage tree swings, Scottish Highland cows and goats, and a pumpkin patch (in October). Currently, their wildflower field is in bloom and available for photography sessions. They also have a Blue Ford Truck, tandem bicycle, and red tractor for rent to use in your photographs. Make a reservation with them here!
